The flagship of the new tesa assortment for boatbuilding and boat maintenance is tesa® 4407 UV Paper Grade masking tape, which was specifically developed for the marine industry. It ensures that the edges of all kinds of paintwork are sharp, from anti-mold paint to design improvements on the hull exterior or wood-care coatings on the deck and in the cabin. The adhesive tape, which is UV-resistant for up to eight weeks, is resistent to changing temperatures, sunlight, wind, and humidity.

tesa also offers various adhesive tapes for short- or long-term protection of different interior and exterior surfaces. tesa® 50530, for example, can be used to protect varnished and freshly painted surfaces for up to nine months, a secure way of protecting them even during overland transportation. tesa® anti-slip tapes provide a firm footing even on wet surfaces.

The tesa assortment also includes various double-sided adhesive tapes for mounting various materials during production – from decorative trim and exterior coatings to carpeting and insulation.

The assortment’s other components also include special solutions for sailmakers to use for provisional repairs to sails or as support during mechanical stitching.
