Double-sided foam tapes can be used to compensate for gaps, bond different substrates and to dampen unwanted noises or vibrations.
Our complete assortment of tesa double-sided PE foam tapes has been engineered for safe and secure mounting applications. Our double sided PE foam tapes cover a range of thicknesses from 500µm (0.5mm) to 3,000µm (3mm) which compensate for different gaps to ensure a flush design. Double sided foam tapes with pure acrylic adhesives offer heavy duty long term performance in tough outdoor applications, where as those with a tackified acrylic adhesives have a strong initial bond and also offer design gap compensation and excellent dampening properties.
When selecting the right double sided tape for mounting and bonding applications, environmental conditions are one of the key areas that must be taken into consideration. Our range of double sided PE foams are resistant to UV, water, humidity and temperatures up to 80 °C, making them fully suitable for outdoor use.
Our expertise in adhesive technology ensures high performing, strong and permanent bond that is capable of adhering to a variety of substrates, both on the mounting surface, as well as the object backing itself. The result: A safe and secure permanent bond that will last for years.
NEW – tesa® 636xx Double-sided PE foam Tape
Our new range of double-sided PE foam tapes have been engineered to offer the same reliable bonding performance at a highly competitive price. tesa® 636xx series combines high ultimate adhesion for long terms bonding performance, with a conformable yet internally strong PE core. Designed for a wide variety of mounting applications such as mirrors, glass splashbacks, trims & profiles and bumper rails. The PE foam is waterproof, as well as resistant to UV, humidity and temperatures up to 80 °C, making it the ideal mounting tape, even in outdoor applications.
Our comprehensive range of spacer tapes are constructed with an open cell polyurethane (PU) with an acrylic adhesive on both sides. The open cell PU foam allows an air and moisture transport through the tape, permitting optimum silicone curing. The range has been designed as a spacer element for two and four sided structural glazing systems, to create a gap with the correct dimensions for the silicone adhesive.
